Unfortunately, expensive alloy wheels are easily damaged when trying to squeeze into those tight parking spaces or hitting pot-holes. A new set of alloy wheels can cost a fortune so it is often more sensible to have them repaired. At Paint Wizard we specialise in all aspects of alloy wheel refurbishment.
Small scratches and scuffs/kerb damage can be repaired without the need to remove the wheels. The damage is removed and paint and lacquer applied to get rid of those unsightly grazes. More extensive damage or very minor corrosion will require the wheel(s) to be removed from the car, the tyre to be pushed back from the rim and the whole wheel face and spokes to be re-painted. Even modern style “Diamond turned” wheels can be re-polished and lacquered to restore them to factory finish.
Sometimes, any wheel that has excessive paint peeling or corrosion cannot be repaired on a mobile basis and will need to be taken away for full refurbishment. If this is necessary, we will support your car securely on axle stands on your driveway or desired location and remove the wheels, repair them and refit when the work is complete.
